Long weekend

Well I took Friday off work, and had a scheduled holiday for MLK jr. Day yesterday...so we had a long weekend...
We had no plans...we had no clue what we were going to do...

We got a call saying my Grandma 'was slipping away' so we packed up and left with in the hour on a few hundred mile trip to see her....

I was not prepared enough for what I saw....it was heart breaking...my poor Grandma was beyond sick...to me she looked as if she was near death...and that was hard to take in.....
There was a lot of people there this weekend...family from Ohio flew in to visit her as well....she wasn't really 'with it' but knew we were there...she spoke a few words but they were few and far between. She had to be reminded to swallow when being spoon fed her meal....and told to swallow when drinking her thickened water.

She layed in her hospital bed in the living room for the entire time....being moved from side to side every now and then as to prevent bed sores...

I'm really not sure how much longer she can go on like this...but she's in pain...and I don't like it...
She was always the best grandma! She accepted anyone and everything...she was nice to everyone :)
I had to come back...I had to work...it was hard to leave her.....I'm not sure if I'll get to see her again...........

I want to take a bath...

I want to be taking a bath...but I've been doing things to this blog for hours!
Though it's not that you could tell if you were here earlier today.
Thanks to Milenka my blog will be all pertified in no time!

Hubby is at a HOA meeting right now, so it's just me and the pets.

My hands are rather F R O Z E N at the moment. I turned the heat on quite a while ago but i'm still a popsicle. Why is that???

I think I'm actually going to go take that bath now, then snuggle in to my bed and wait for my lover boy to come home so we can watch Nanny 911 and cuddle.

My lover boy started his first day at the University today, he's all done with junior college now, and he's now got his AA! YAY. He's majoring in Finance at the University and wants to get his masters, then later his PhD. what a guy.

But before that PhD thing...we'll have some KIDS!

I wish I could snap my fingers and make that last part a reality sooner than 'the plan' woe is me!!!

Ok toodles...I'm going to go take that bathy wathy :)

Well...
I'm grumpy my husband says....I think I'd have to agree with him.
I don't know quite *why* I'm grumpy...but dang it I AM!!!

I think I wish it was the weekend or something...
I wish I could sleep in every day...I wish I could wear blue jeans every day...
I'm full of wishes!

I think I might have a photo of my gato no one except Danielle has seen...
It's my favorite shot of her....even though it's blurry...I still love it :)


I just spent the past half an hour putting soft fleece cushion in her new cat condo so she BETTER appreciate my hard work...dammit!
She doesn't seem to be the least bit interested in the thing at this moment....but it is brand new...and she doesn't know what it is I'm sure.

I realllllllly want to 'makeover' this blog....but I'm so freaking lame I can only do a TINY amount of things....I don't know any thing about html..........woe is freaking me!!!!!

hola paco!

When my Husband calls me at work...I always answer the phone 'hola Paco'...too bad his name isn't Paco! I just crack myself up.
We think we want to get another kitty...we're still not sure...but we're really thinking about it!
I'm excited about that...
sheesh...I try and write an entry...and hubby is belly aching for me to come help him make the bed.....
